Canal Cruising in France is a division of France At Your Fingertips Ltd (registered in New Zealand) and Paris Provence Pty Ltd (registered in Australia). The general Terms & Conditions outlined hereunder can be amended with additional rules set by the French operators themselves. Details of Operators Terms & Conditions are usually attached to travel documents. These may be perused on our website and requested at any time.
Prices & payment
Prices on our website are shown in Euros or US dollar to offer the best price available to customers. However, all invoices will show the amount due in your own currency. Payments can be made in New Zealand dollars, Australian dollars or US dollars via direct deposit (New Zealand and Australia only) or credit card (all countries). Taxes are all-inclusive.
Quote and confirmation
A quote is valid for 7 days. Upon confirmation, a deposit is required to confirm booking. (25 to 40% depending on service provided). The deposit must be received within 7 days to confirm the reservation. Final payment is due 60 or 120 days prior arrival.
- More than 60 days prior departure: 30 % cancellation fee applies.
- 59 days or less prior to departure: 100% cancellation fee applies.
- No refundfor no show on anticipated date of departure.
Regardless of the reason, if the hirer or boat’s captain has not taken out the reservation cancellation plan, following fees apply:
- More than 10 weeks before departure: 300 € for handling charge
- Between 8 and 10 weeks before departure: 30 % of the hire price
- Between 6 and 8 weeks before departure: 40 % of the hire price
- Less than 6 weeks before departure: 100 % of the hire price
More than 91 days prior to departure - the full deposit shall be retained.
90 days prior to departure, or in the event of failure to embark - 100% of total fare shall be retained.
More than 180 days prior to departure: 30% of the total charter rate.
Less than 180 days prior to departure: 100 % of the total Cruise.
Amendments are free of charge prior to issuing documentation. A$ 100 amendment fee post-issue.
Insurance against personal accident, injury or illness and loss, damage or theft of personal effects is not included in the holiday price. Insurance is strongly recommended for all passengers, and in many cases it is a condition of your contract with the Operator that you have adequate insurance in place for the duration of your booking. You must notify us if you do not hold travel insurance. It is your responsibility to ensure that your travel insurance is suitable for your needs.
